![]() ![]() ![]() Tara Grayce is simply the best author Fantasy YA. Overall it was really good and enjoyable and a good start for a new fantasy story and I'd recommend it as a fun and enjoyable listen for anyone. The sub-stories are molded pretty good to all come together in the action packed last third of the book. However, I was wrong! The story was actually pretty good, keeping the romance only as a part of the narrative, while introducing a great and perfectly described world, without becoming boring at any point, while it also gets into politics and the ways of the elves and develops the characters really well. I will be honest, at first I thought this was a fantasy book but then I saw the "Chick Lit & Romance" tag on top of the book's Audible page and I instantly became predetermined it was going to be bad and I would definitely dislike it. Story 8/10 Well, the story starts off with an elven - human meeting, who have been at war for quite some time, in order to discuss peace terms with the outcome of a human princess, Essie, getting paired up with an elven prince, Laesornysh - the main characters of the book- for political marriage. Narration 10/10 The narration is actually spot on, clear, crisp, fits the story really well, the expressions are really well done, I really didn't see any fault to it, it's a really well done narration. ![]() ![]() I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. This was actually much better than I expected ![]()
